Many people ask “How did you come up with the name ‘Norse’ for the company?”

There are a couple reasons, beyond the fact that we were loooking for something short and unique. First, my surname is a Swedish name, and the Swedes certainly have some Viking ancestors. The Vikings were called the Norsemen by the Europeans that wrote about them in antiquity. So myself being of Swedish descent the name Norse is in honor of those ancestors.

Second, the Norsemen developed some amazing technologies for their time. For instance, when they were planning to conquer a new territory they would prefabricate a fort on their own lands, then disassemble it into shippable pieces, and when they made landfall they would reassemble it. This gave them a huge advantage in that it provided an instant protected base on the new land, and from it they could strike out in their conquests.

We at Norse Technologies are in the business of conquest over technological problems, in a vigorous effort to provide rock solid systems that are fast and efficient. We show up fast, well equipped, and ready to conquer your technological challenges for you. In this aspect, we like to be just like the Norsemen.
